Fitness Freak
So, I told already that I’m a fitness freak. But how did I become one? Whole lot of experiences and motivation made me what I’m today.
I was always a very skinny girl throughout my school and college life. Whatever I ate, it never added to any body fat. At that time I yearned to gain some weight😀 . But my busy life with college, extra curricular and studies made sure that I digested what I consumed. How I wish those days to come back 😃.
After marriage, my life became more sedentary and I at last gained some weight! I was so happy. Finally my face was a little fuller than before. Then I delivered my first baby and weight was ok till then. But after my second kid, my weight increased and other problems too with the body. I started having body aches here and there and also developed mild asthma. Then started endless visits to doctors and various medicines.
Introduction to great life style
Exercising never crossed my mind because we exercise to loose weight , right? And since I never had any weight issues it never occurred to exercise to me. But then everything changed when I realized that my weight was increasing more than required. First time in my life, I hit a gym! Started with treadmill and cross trainer, I got a hang of it very soon. Contrary to the normal belief, I loved the whole workout. I started going to gym regularly and soon joined an aerobics class too. I felt so alive and happy after every session.
What started as a weight loss program soon developed into something else. After the initial muscle cramps came under control, I was relieved of my other pains in the body which had made their comfortable home inside me. I realized the full benefits of workout for the first time. Even my asthma came under control with the help of breathing exercises I was doing.
A whole lot of Benefits!
This was awesome! Within a year I was weaned off my asthma inhaler and regular visits to doctor. And a great body came as a bonus with it 😇. I finally got rid of that mom belly which I was trying really hard to control. Now I could wear whatever I liked. Also being a foodie, dieting was never an option for me and now it was possible to consume all those calories without thinking of gaining at wrong places. Believe me, with regular exercise, you can eat whatever you like and it’ll never harm you.
And with regular I mean everyday! Because trust me, if you become lazy even for a single day it’ll become habit very soon. Also we need to do some heavy exercise which is required to push your body to new limits everyday. So along with that morning walk incorporate some workout which makes you sweat and increases the heartbeat by more than 120 😃 . Morning walk alone will not help much although it has its own health benefits.
Think of our body as a machine and exercise as oiling and lubrication. With regular maintenance, machine works properly and longer. Same is true for the body too. It requires constant maintenance in form of exercise. And this is specially true for us ladies. We undergo so many hormonal changes in life that our bodies lose their mind very soon coping with it . So its very important for us to exercise regularly to keep the diseases at bay.
One hour of exercise a day keeps the doctor away 😃

Very true…..I prefer….yoga….It also rejuvenates ur body….Overall….Ladies should take out time for themselves….which they actually don't.

Gr8 dear… this is wat was required. I thnk I'm motivated enough to begin with simple exercises as a startup. My hubby is also a fitness freak, he can skip a meal but skipping an hr of yoga or other exercises is a complete NO-NO for him.

Great blog….and very inspiring too.I can understand the feeling when u are a regular excerciser ;-)Because I feel alive when I perform yoga too….and I know how hardly you have worked to maintain yourself which is beyond my capability
